This set of essays introduces the reader to brief therapy, a therapeutic working model developed at the end of the sixties of the last century by a group of researchers from the Mental Research Institute of California, known internationally as the Palo Alto group; a model focused on solving problems in a short time, epistemologically endorsed by the General Systems Theory, cybernetics and constructivism. / Este conjunto de ensayos introduce al lector en la terapia breve, un modelo de trabajo terapéutico desarrollado a finales de la década de los sesenta del pasado siglo por un grupo de investigadores del Mental Research Institute de California, conocido internacionalmente como el grupo de Palo Alto; un modelo centrado en la resolución de problemas en tiempo breve, avalado epistemológicamente por la Teoría General de Sistemas, la cibernética y el constructivismo.
