Paula Quinones arrives in Azafran to locate graves of the civil war. She will keep in contact with Luz (Zarco’s mother-in-law, a forty-year-old gay and ex-husband of Paula) to whom she will tell her affair with David Beato, discover her fears about the existence of an informer and tell the family legends. At the same time, Analía, mother of David, who takes care of Jesus Beato, a patriarch who has just turned a century, and heeds the messages that he blows into her ear. / Paula Quiñones llega a Azafrán para localizar fosas de la guerra civil. Mantendrá correspondencia con Luz (suegra de Zarco, el detective tan poco convencional que conocemos de Black, black, black y de Un buen detective no se casa jamás,  cuarentón y gay, exmarido de Paula a la que contará sus amores con David Beato, descubrirá sus temores respecto a la existencia de un delator y relatará las leyendas familiares. Al mismo tiempo, Analía, madre de David, cuida amorosamente de Jesús Beato, dulce patriarca que acaba de cumplir un siglo, y atiende a los mensajes que este le sopla al oído.
