MANUAL DE ARTETERAPIA

Art therapy is a discipline that uses the visual arts as a means to promote expression and self-knowledge, as well as the emotional, physical and social well-being of people. Art therapy is currently practiced and taught in universities and centres around the world and has proven to be a very effective tool for treating emotional and psychological conflicts, both in healthcare and educational settings. This manual was created as a contribution to the expansion of art therapy in the Spanish-speaking world, based on the extensive clinical and teaching experience of the different authors, all of whom are practicing art therapists. Organized into four thematic blocks, it focuses on the importance of the bond in the therapeutic relationship, on the means and materials used in the intervention, on the scope of art therapy beyond the clinic and on training according to the recommendations of national and international associations.
