The body of a hunter is found naked and bearing signs of brutal violence in a forest in Muela de Cortes, Valencia. When Inspectors Yago Reyes and Ainés Collado arrive at the crime scene, it doesn't take them long to notice a revealing detail: whoever killed him wanted to make him suffer until the very end. A settling of scores? A crime of passion? As the investigation progresses, the Judicial Police officers suspect that something more could be hiding behind this cruel event. The frantic investigation will lead them to another sadistic murder committed on a farm in Alzira months earlier that still hasn't been solved. Reyes and Collado, still shaken by their first case together, will need to track down the elusive criminal. But someone has decided that the trail of blood must continue.
