Through a rigorous analysis of official data, reports and studies, this work demonstrates how the Congress of Deputies and the Ombudsman have committed an unprecedented act of discrimination by investigating only cases linked to the Catholic Church while ignoring the dramatic reality: more than 9,000 minors are victims of sexual abuse every year, the majority in family and educational settings. This fundamental work exposes the arbitrariness of the public authorities, documents the true dimension of the problem and reveals how ideology and prejudice have prevailed over the effective protection of minors.
