La máquina de follar

Charles Bukowski became well known in Spain for his “stories of ordinary madness”, published in two volumes: Erections, Ejaculations, Exhibitions and Fuck Machine, which won him immediate popularity. His work has provoked, among others, the following comments: “A master of anarchist satire. A living legend” (New York Times Review of Books). “The most honest, direct, illuminating and important stories published in this country in the last 20 years” (San Francisco Chronicle). “Run out and buy this book now, you will undoubtedly have one of the best experiences of your life” (Cavanna, Charlie Hebdo). / La máquina de follar recoge un total de veintidós relatos cortos en los que Bukowski saca a relucir, a través de escenas cotidianas, aspectos de la vida como el alcoholismo, el sexo y la enfermedad, tratándolos con naturalidad pero también con cierto surrealismo (surrealismo sucio), dándole al morbo un papel importante. Se dice, se cuenta, se cree, y se comenta que Henry Chinaski, personaje que aparece en varios de los relatos, es el alter-ego de Bukowski.
