September, 1962. A young teacher with a dubious vocation and little ability to communicate orally reaches first place in a school in the Ribagorza Pyrenees. Thus, she fulfills her wishes: to have a town, a job and a house from which to watch the snow fall. She leaves behind her a childhood marked by the enigmatic activities of her father and the original upbringing received from a mother divided between the irresistible impulse to separate her daughter from the slogans of the Regime and the fear of excessively isolating her from the prevailing normality.
