Taste is a short story by Roald Dahl that was first published in the March 1945 issue of Ladies Home Journal. It was also published in 1951 in The New Yorker. Six people sit at a table in the home of Mike Schofield, a London stockbroker: Mike, his wife and his daughter, an unnamed narrator and his wife, and a wine connoisseur, Richard Pratt. Pratt often makes small bets with Schofield in order to guess the wine that is being served on the table, but tonight the bet will be higher... When Schofield brings the second wine of the night he comments that it will be impossible to guess where it came from , but Pratt takes it as a challenge... Iban Barrenetxea invites us to this wonderful London dinner.
