Tochtli likes sombreros, dictionaries, samurais, guillotines, and the French. But Tochtli is a child and now what he wants is a new animal for his private zoo: a pygmy hippopotamus from Liberia. His father, Yolcaut, is a drug trafficker at the pinnacle of power and he is prepared to comply with all his demands. This is a more than promising first novel, a story of a crazy journey to indulge a whim. Decapitated heads, rivers of blood, human remains, mountains of bodies. The rabbit hole is in Mexico and it is a well known fact that although this country is magnificent it is also a complete disaster.
