Tara Selter and her husband Thomas live in Clairon-sous-Bois and are antiquarian booksellers. On November 17, Tara travels to Bordeaux to attend an auction and then takes a train to Paris. On November 18, she visits a second-hand bookshop and then goes to bed at her hotel. And then something incredible happens: when she wakes up, she quickly realizes that she is still on November 18. Her husband is unaware of this time loop. Only she seems to notice that they are trapped in a day that repeats itself ad infinitum, and only she seems subject to the advance of the hands of the clock. And Tara, the anguished narrator of her own story, becomes increasingly isolated in a time without time.
