Anton Chekhov was a Russian playwright and short story writer who is considered to be among the greatest writers of short fiction. His career as a playwright produced four classics. His best short stories are held in high esteem by writers and critics. Three of his best plays are included in this volume. / Chejov (29 de enero de 1860 – 15 de julio de 1904) fue un autor ruso de obras de teatro y narraciones cortas que está considerado como uno de los más grandes narradores de la historia. Su carrera como autor teatral produjo cuatro clásicos y con sus narraciones cortas muy consideradas por autores y críticos. Junto a Ibsen y Strindberg, se considera a Chejov como unos de los creadores del modernismo temprano en el teatro.
