xOn a very distant island, called Buián, there was a small old cabin; the shelter for an old man and his wife. They lived in the greatest poverty; all her goods were reduced to the hut and a net that the same husband had made, and with which he went fishing every day, as the only means of provisions for both. / En una isla muy lejana, llamada Buián, había una cabaña pequeña y vieja que servía de albergue a un anciano y su mujer. Vivían en la mayor pobreza; todos sus bienes se reducían a la cabaña y a una red que el mismo marido había hecho, y con la que todos los días iba a pescar, como único medio de procurarse el sustento de ambos.
