A group of friends gather on the Saturday after the 2016 presidential election to address what they consider the biggest political catastrophe of their lives. Among the guests, liberal and like-minded, are an interior decorator, a couple of editors, a choreographer and a writer determined to restore the bubble in which they had become accustomed to living. But only Eva, a generous host and obsessed with decoration, intends to take the desire to secure a refuge to its ultimate consequences. Her husband Bruce works as a wealth management advisor, and she manages to convince him to buy an apartment (dilapidated or "with possibilities", depending on who looks at it) in Venice. Her goal is to dedicate herself to renovating the new house and spending Trump's term there safely. But embarking on this unexpected adventure will have consequences, perhaps irreparable, on the marriage.
